The idea is to connect with other awesome bloggers so take a moment to post your own FMM post and comment on a couple of other posts. Now it’s time for this week’s topic!

My Community

1. Where were you born? Did you grow up there? I was born in Colorado & have lived here all of my life.  I actually live in the same town that I was born in.  Yep, guess I'm a "lifer" as we used to say in high school about people who ended up back here or never left.  I don't plan on staying forever though.  When my kids are grown...I have plans.LOL
2. Tell us about your favorite spot in your city. The library.  I have always loved it there.  It's old & not a huge library, but it has always brought me comfort & calm when I needed to get away.  It still does...though I don't get there as much as I used to.  I really should do more that makes me happy!
3. Do you volunteer for any organizations? If so, will you tell us about it? I don't....but probably should.
4. Tell us about your favorite local restaurant. There was one called Backroads.  I loved that place!!   Just a small local restaurant with THE best hamburgers & French fries.  But they closed down a few weeks ago...now someone else owns it...but it won't be the same.:(
5. Has your city ever experienced tragedy?  If so, how did it recover? I don't think that we have ever had a major tragedy...knock on wood.
6. Share at least one unique thing about your neighborhood.   There are a quite a few old buildings downtown that are still there from the 1880's.
7. If you could do one small thing to change your community, what would you do? Make the movie theater bigger & better.  The old theater...where I went all the time when I was growing up....was an old Opera House.  They closed it a few years ago, because the building became "unsafe."  They are trying to preserve it...but guess it's not easy.  So I would help with that.  But the "new" theater needs some work.LOL
8. The Powerball is currently up to 400 million dollars. Would you move to a different place if you won? I would say that I would definitely be out of here!  I love my little town, but there's nothing here.  I want something different before I'm too old.  Maybe Seattle....
